Purpose of the association – extract from the constitution of the association:

2. Purpose
2.1 The association is a not for profit organization. The association pursues exclusively and directly charitable purposes in the sense of the Federal Fiscal Code (BAO). All material resources are channeled into the association’s charitable purpose.
2.2 The purpose of the association is to alleviate and gradually eliminate the need of poor people in developing countries.
2.3 The association also aims at raising awareness about the need of people in countries in which the association carries out its project work.
2.4 Since the founding of the association, Ethiopia has been the sole destination for the association’s activities. Where possible and meaningful, Ethiopia should remain the main target country of the association’s activities. In order to make it possible to expand the aid given to need people in developing countries and to ensure that the tasks are fulfilled in accordance with point 2.2, further developing countries can be included in the association’s activities by means of a unanimous resolution of the Board and its approval by the Supervisory Board.
2.5 The association fundamentally rejects any ties or affiliation to ideological, religious, party-political or national schools of thought. It devotes itself exclusively to the association’s purpose, free from external influences.
2.6 The association may avail itself of the assistance of third parties in order to fulfill its purpose and also act as an agent, to the extent that to do so can better achieve the association’s purpose.

Explanation of the association’s approach to development assistance and call for support of this work. Furthermore, general information about the Ethiopia and the people’s life in Ethiopia.
