Kitfo – Ethiopian Style Mince

Serves 4
750 g ground beef
2 tsp red pepper (berberé can be used for this)
1 tsp cardamom
½ tsp salt
125 g spiced butter

Mix the meat with the spices and stir-fry. Add the spiced butter shortly before the meat is done, finish frying and serve immediately. Awaze, our cottage cheese variations and Ambasha go well with this dish.

In Ethiopia this is often eaten raw.
