Ayib – Three Versions of Spiced Cottage Cheese

There are different ways of preparation, three of which we present here.

 

Ayib Bemit’mit’a – hot red cottage cheese

Serves 4
250 g cottage cheese
½ tsp black pepper
2 tbsp spiced butter
salt to taste
1 tsp hot red pepper (berberé can also be used)

Combine all ingredients and mix well.

 

Ayib Be’qibe – cottage cheese with spiced butter

Serves 4
250 g cottage cheese
4 tbsp spiced butter
salt to taste

Combine all ingredients and mix well.
