Poverty makes ill – development is the best remedy

Health is the greatest wealth. Healthy people can attend school, work and lead an independent life.

But in some places a harmless disease can have catastrophic consequences:

In Ethiopia medical care is often miles and miles away. This is one of the reasons why every tenth child in Ethiopia dies before turning five.

(Source: Human Development Report 2013) Simple eye infections often lead to irreparable blindness. An infection, an injury or simple diarrhoea are serious threats. Measles, for instance, are a death sentence for many Ethiopian children. Unimaginable for us Europeans – but still everyday life in Ethiopian villages.

Help us today and save lives!
